THE NOTEBOOK

I do not usually write about my husband, as he does not like to be the center of attention. But I could not go without sharing this story....

Madison: I need a binder for my classroom work.

Bobby: I can bring you one tomorrow.

Madison: You will probably forget but okay, thanks.

....the next day....

Bobby: Madison can you please come in here.

Madison: Ok. What do you need Dad???

....he hands her a PINK notebook....

Madison: Oh Dad thank you....
then as she turns it over she sees a horse and her name.

....she teared up and gave her Dad a bear hug....

If you know Madison, you know she wants to be a vet that specializes in large animals. If you didn't know, now you do. The horse on the cover was icing on the cake for her.

The fact that her Dad had taken the time out of his BUSY day to do a project specifically for her 'touch her heart' as she put it to him last night.

At an age where Madison is slowly pulling away from us, in order to get so independance, she sat and talked to her Dad all night until the end of the story......

Me: Madison it is time for bed.

Madison: I'm BONDING with Daddy.

Bobby: Time for bed Madison. Goodnight, I love you.

Madison: I love you too, your my most FAVORITE dad in the world. (a sentiment she
hasnt used in some time)

....she walks to the hall, turns and says: Dad can you tuck me in???

(she hasn't been tucked in since she was 5 and said "I'm NOT a baby." )

What a wonderful thing to have witnessed between a father and daughter (ALL FROM A NOTEBOOK)

Tiny Little Blessings

Last night, Madison wrote me a note that said "I love you Mommy, thank you for all you do!!!"
Makayla, colored a picture of 5 hearts and said that God loved her because he gave her a loving
family. And Ethan sweetly slept beside me. Now you may say, "why is Ethan asleep in the bed"
but I say what tiny blessings I have in my life. The sound of him sweetly snoring, and the hearts
and the note all reminded me that this world is so much more than the mundane or the amount
of $ you may have. It seems that children are like cameras, they often show you the sides of
yourself you don't like. But, every once in a while they show you how loved they feel and how
loved you are!!!! Thank you Lord for my tiny little blessings!!!

My father, Charles Joseph Fusco went to the Lord on May 11, 2009. He was a loving and devoted father of eight and a grandfather to ten. He is and will be missed. We rejoice in the knowledge that he is with his mother, father, and brothers. He is walking with the angels. We love you Daddy!!!!!

So it's been a week of left and right and up and down. Why is it always that way. When they say life is a roller coaster that aren't lying. This week I realized my 3 month old is 3 months old. How can that be, has my life gone by so fast that I now have an infant and not a newborn. Why can't we enjoy them tiny for just a little longer. Although, it is fun to here him laugh and giggle at his sisters. Thank God we have him, and the girls in our lives.

Mama!!!!

Most children learn to say daddy first, right. Then why is it that when they are the ages of my girls---6 and 5---their favorite word is MAMA!!!!! I have to admit that I love hearing this word ninety-nine percent of the time. The other 1% comes when you are just sitting down after getting the baby to sleep and thinking you might just get to what the evening news. I never understood why my mom got so upset when we would chit-chat right infront of the 6 o'clock news until now. "MAMA MAMA MAMA---I hear---WHATA WHAT WHATA I say. She did _______" tell her she can't please MAMA save me is all I hear.

So what do I do--- I sigh and say Thank you God for my children and ask him help me to keep my cool---then I turn the TV off and go see what happened. Sound familiar. I don't know how many times I have apologized to my mom for my behavior as a child... I think everytime I talk to her.

The reason for telling you all this---I asked Madison, 6 and Makayla, 5 how they knew I loved them and they said "because you gave birth to us, you always come when we call, and you always love us."

Isn't that what the Lord does. He waits patiently there until we realize one day he's always been there and he opens his arms and says you are a gift and I love you.

Home Again

I decided to start this blog after going home to see my family this weekend. All together we are twenty-four children of God who came together only because of his love and the love of our parents. My sister started her own blog a few months ago and I have been following it daily. I use hers as inspiration throughout my day.
Like I said, I was home this weekend and sitting around the kitchen table thinking, "look at all these people, someone should write about each of them." That is my quest.
I fear I am not as graceful with words as my sister, however I will try to do my family justice.
