THE NOTEBOOK

I do not usually write about my husband, as he does not like to be the center of attention. But I could not go without sharing this story....

Madison: I need a binder for my classroom work.

Bobby: I can bring you one tomorrow.

Madison: You will probably forget but okay, thanks.

....the next day....

Bobby: Madison can you please come in here.

Madison: Ok. What do you need Dad???

....he hands her a PINK notebook....

Madison: Oh Dad thank you....
then as she turns it over she sees a horse and her name.

....she teared up and gave her Dad a bear hug....

If you know Madison, you know she wants to be a vet that specializes in large animals. If you didn't know, now you do. The horse on the cover was icing on the cake for her.

The fact that her Dad had taken the time out of his BUSY day to do a project specifically for her 'touch her heart' as she put it to him last night.

At an age where Madison is slowly pulling away from us, in order to get so independance, she sat and talked to her Dad all night until the end of the story......

Me: Madison it is time for bed.

Madison: I'm BONDING with Daddy.

Bobby: Time for bed Madison. Goodnight, I love you.

Madison: I love you too, your my most FAVORITE dad in the world. (a sentiment she
hasnt used in some time)

....she walks to the hall, turns and says: Dad can you tuck me in???

(she hasn't been tucked in since she was 5 and said "I'm NOT a baby." )

What a wonderful thing to have witnessed between a father and daughter (ALL FROM A NOTEBOOK)

Tiny Little Blessings

Last night, Madison wrote me a note that said "I love you Mommy, thank you for all you do!!!"
Makayla, colored a picture of 5 hearts and said that God loved her because he gave her a loving
family. And Ethan sweetly slept beside me. Now you may say, "why is Ethan asleep in the bed"
but I say what tiny blessings I have in my life. The sound of him sweetly snoring, and the hearts
and the note all reminded me that this world is so much more than the mundane or the amount
of $ you may have. It seems that children are like cameras, they often show you the sides of
yourself you don't like. But, every once in a while they show you how loved they feel and how
loved you are!!!! Thank you Lord for my tiny little blessings!!!
